Well, I bought this appliance clean and have purchased ebooks and have had great success with the ease of finding books. When I got the Kindle I wanted to find any kind of modification, tips or tricks for this device. After a search, I found things I wanted to share with everyone.

1. Can be used as an MP3 player as a headphone jack and speakers. If you go on the site as I mentioned above, has MP3 which can be downloaded on the Kindle. Theonly thing is that you must purchase the software needed to access and buy on their site.

2. A number of people who have complained about the inability to close the flap of the Kindle's cover without pressing one of navigation buttons. A simple solution: simply put Kindle to sleep before closing the lid. To do this, simply press Alt + the text key (AA) as if you were to wake up from sleep. Put Kindle in sleep modeconserve battery power.

3. If you want to know the time while you're reading, pressing Alt + T to show briefly left foot down, where "Rent" is usually displayed. Please note that this functionality only works in Reader.

4. Dropping your MP3 based podcasts) files (on the Kindle or SD memory card lets you view the podcast at home. When open, you can bookmark, pause, fast forward, etc., as would aaudiobook.

5. In the search box. Simply start your search with the term below, then the search term: @ Store – Search the Kindle Store @ web – searches on the web @ wiki – searches Wikipedia, @ help – a list of these shortcuts above.

6. If you order the Home screen by title or author, you can type a letter to go to the first question that begins with that letter.

7 Start the Welcome screen is very simple and can be executed by pressing the Home button onbottom row of the keyboard.
