With the release of the eagerly awaited Amazon Kindle 2, which should be better and more stylish than the original, you can ask yourself whether you should buy the updated version or stick with the popular Kindle 1. If so then read on, this article will guide you through the differences between the two versions of the popular e-book reader.

Before looking at the only two machines, you will see many differences. The Kindle 2 is much thinnerthan its predecessor, only 9 mm thick and weighs the same as before, is now easier to hold and carry.

The screen size is the same at 600 x 800, but the new model has better graphics capabilities to now have 16 shades of gray instead of four of the first Kindle.

This makes the screen text easier to read and very high (less drain on the screen). Of course the original was still a good and readable at first sightmay not notice a big difference, but after reading many pages, you will appreciate the thin text box. The context has changed from a slightly textured look in the first paper on a flat surface and adjust in the second.

Overall, the differences between Amazon's Kindle 1 and 2 are subtle, but improve your reading experience ebook. So it's up to you if you want the latest and best or do not mind the old version to a maximum of $ 100 less.
